Welcome to "Tigin Laibeach",
the Muddy Cottage. Perched on a hillside, overlooking a beautiful sea
inlet, the Muddy cottage is neither muddy nor a cottage but a renovated
barn dating back to at least 1838. The Muddy Cottage is in the townland
of Ballincolla, Union Hall and is the perfect place to enjoy the rural
and coastal delights of West Cork
Originally a barn with hayloft, Muddy Cottage was sensitively converted by the owner Chris Atkinson using the best combination of modern and traditional materials and styles. The main body of the building is the old barn, with an large, oak-beamed kitchen/family room perfect for lazy afternoons of tea and cake after a day at the beach.
